Dress Code

 

MOMMY & ME AND TINY TOTS:

Girls – Leotard, unitard, or dance dress with tights of any color. Ballet skirts, legwarmers, ballet sweaters are permitted. Hair pulled back away from the face. Pink Ballet Slippers                                                    Boys – T-shirt or tank top with comfortable work-out pants or shorts. Black Ballet Slippers    

Pre-School – 2ND grade:  Attire and hair are the same as the above with the addition of black tap shoes.

3RD – 12TH Grade:

Ballet:

Girls – Leotard, unitard, or dance dress with tights of any color. Ballet skirts, legwarmers, ballet sweater/shrug are permitted, however tanks and T’s are NOT. Hair must be pulled back away from the face, preferably in a bun. Pink ballet slippers or pink pointe shoes (ask your teacher if you are not sure).                                                                                                                                                        Guys – Dance pants or shorts with fitting tank top or t-shirt and black ballet slippers.

Tap and Jazz:

Girls Leotard, unitard, or tank tops with dance pants, shorts, or capri’s.                                                                                        Guys – Tank top or t-shirt with comfortable work-out pants or shorts.

Everyone wears black Jazz shoes for Jazz (black ballet slippers may be substituted).

Girls up to 6th grade wear black tap shoes and 7th through 12th grade wear tan tap shoes.                                                  All guys wear black tap shoes.

 Lyrical: Leotard or unitard with tights of any color. Skirts, legwarmers, shorts, capri’s are permitted. Hair pulled back away from face. No shoes are required for this class as we dance in bare feet. There are foot undies, toe thongs, etc. sold to protect the sole of the foot (optional). If you choose to purchase these, nude are required for recital but anything goes in class.

Hip-hop: Loose and comfortable clothing are encouraged for this class as it helps the students to be more comfortable in their movement. Black jazz sneakers or regular tennis shoes.                   (Please do not wear the same shoe you are wearing to and from the dance studio.    

Acro: Fitting tank top or leotard with shorts or capri’s and bare feet.
